Best Roomba Vacuum Cleaner

This is a good option when you're looking for a basic robotic cleaner that doesn't have the advanced features of other models. It did a great job getting rid of pet hair, Cheerios and kitty litter on hardwood floors.

It is fast and accurate in mapping rooms, and it is able to avoid obstacles with ease. It can also be operated manually by using the remote included.

1. Roomba from iRobot

The s9+ is the best robot vacuum we've tested cleaning hard floors and carpeting. It has some of the strongest suction of any robotic cleaner on the market and is a great choice for eliminating pet hair. It can be programmed to do multiple passes or adjust suction levels based on the size of the room, a feature that we haven't seen on other models. Its app allows you to customize how it works, and even select the time when it will begin working so that you can be present in the room as it moves around.

The smart mapping feature can create a precise map of your home, which can assist the s9+ to navigate and design efficient routes. It also self-empties, which means it does not require any intervention from you during the cleaning process, and it's able to return to its home base and recharge during the cleaning (though you may have to hear it return to its dock as it settles in it, which can sound like the sound of a jet engine taking off). The s9+ was able to navigate around obstacles like tables and power cables with any issue. It never lost its charge and didn't get stuck. However, it lacks the hazard avoidance capabilities of newer models and can be caught in a knot on carpet tassels or other obstructions that it's unable to see.

The s9+ has flat fronts, unlike most circular robots. It also has a squared-off front which allows it to reach corners more easily than models with rounded fronts. It is also quieter than our previous iRobot robot and more compact than the Neato Botvac D7. It's not inexpensive, but you'll get a lot of value for your money considering the quality of its operation and that you don't have worry about emptying the dirty bin afterward. It's often available for sale during Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Amazon Prime Day.

2. iRobot Roomba j7+

The j7+ is one of the most intelligent robot cleaners on the market. It comes with irobot mopping robot Genius Technology, which lets it detect obstacles and navigate around them. This means you don't have to worry about the robot hitting walls or furniture. It also slows down when it approaches an object so that it can gently clean edges. This is especially helpful when you have pets that are small who leave their mess behind.

Another excellent feature of the J7+ is that it can mop and vacuum, thanks to a special mopsitter. When it notices that you are on a surface which requires mopping, it switches from its normal cleaning mode and deploys an arm that has a pad. It mopped the floor using a gentle touch and left my floors feeling and looking like they'd been properly cleaned.

The J7+ recharges itself once it is done mopping. It then drives to where it left off, and continues to clean. It usually runs for 85 minutes, or more or less, in my house before needing to return to the dock for a recharge. That's less than the s9+, however it's still impressive for a robot that can do both vacuuming and mopping.

As with other iRobot cleaners, the j7+ detects obstacles in its path and eliminates them. It also comes with what iRobot calls Cliff Detect technology, which keeps it from falling down the stairs. It's a fantastic security feature for families.

The j7+ comes with an extremely small onboard bin which means that it will have to go back to the dock and empty it often if you live in a large home. However the j7+ is easy to store. The all-in-one Clean Base comes with an external charging dock as well as an external dustbin, and an internal bin where the j7+ can store dirt.

3. Shark iQ

This robot can vacuum carpets and hard surfaces simultaneously. Matrix Clean Navigation is also included, which uses grids to cover your entire home. The vacuum emptys itself after every run and you can view the current status and battery life by observing a pair of lights on top. Push the button to unlock the bin and empty it. It can hold up to a week's worth of trash, and the procedure is easy enough to complete from any place in the house.

The model is stunning on bare floors but struggles on low-pile flooring. It also has a difficult time to hold large amounts of debris when the dirt compartment fills. But it's well built and has a long battery life, which you can extend using the energy-efficient Eco mode.

The Shark IQ is compatible with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant which means you can control it with your voice. The app lets you choose the name of your robot (mine's Sharky Shark), schedule and remotely activate its runs, view your cleaning history and get alerts for errors. You can also create an outline of your home and manually create no-go zones.

The Shark iQ is more expensive than the iRobot Roomba j7+, however, it offers better mapping and app features as well as superior cleaning performance on all surface types. It also charges more quickly and gets caught on rug tassels less often, which lowers the cost of recurring repairs. This model is unable to stay away from furniture or pet bowls. You need to use physical boundaries strips to keep the model from these items.

4. irobot self empty base (Http://hompy005.Dmonster.Kr) Roomba 694

The Roomba 694 comes with an elegant and stylish design that will match your interior decor. It is a great robot for those looking for a machine they can put in place and forget about. It will learn your habits of cleaning to create a customized schedule and also works with Google Assistant or Alexa voice assistants that let you start cleaning with the sound of your voice. A variety of sensors helps it maneuver the natural obtacles in your home while you clean. A smart bumper cushions the impact of hitting furniture legs or walls, while four "cliff" sensors along the front and sides let it know when it's approaching a dropoff like the stairs or balcony, and can back away from the edge.

This model is an excellent choice in the robot vacuums under $300 range. It comes with a three-stage cleaning system, as well as two multi-surface brushes to get rid of dirt from carpets and hard floors and an edge-sweeping tool will take care of edges and corners. The robot vacuum also comes with numerous features for convenience, including Dirt Detect, which automatically is more active in heavily soiled areas. It can also be controlled manually to clean at specific times, and comes with an app for remote control.

The iRobot Roomba 694 is not as advanced as the i7, which can self-empty its own dust bin, and it doesn't have an integrated mapping system or the capability to create virtual boundary markers. However, it feels sturdier and is less expensive than the eufy RoboVac G30, has a much larger dustbin, charges more quickly, can maneuver around obstructions like electrical cords with ease and is more effective on bare floors and low-pile carpet than the iRobot Roomba 614.

5. Eufy 11s

The Eufy 11s robot vacuum is a compact and attractive machine that offers a good value for the price. It has a large dirt container, can run for long periods of time, and is excellent in cleaning pet hair. It's hard to maintain and navigate, which is a problem. It lacks an app companion and voice control, however it does have an easy-to-use remote. It also doesn't send you a notification when the dust box is full, so you'll need to check it frequently.

The eufy is better than the Bobsweep Bob Pro in many ways however, it's not as efficient as the iRobot Roomba 694 in many other ways. The irobot robot vacuum is built better, has fewer parts that require regular maintenance, has a HEPA filter that can last longer on a single charge and offers better performance on bare floors and carpets that have high and low piles. It also has a more sophisticated navigation system that can maneuver around obstacles and more advanced automation features, like boundary strips.

Although the eufy remains an acceptable option, I recommend the iRobot Roomba 900 Series for most users. The irobot roomba vacuum cleaner is more durable, easier to maintain, has a bigger dustbin, and has better performance on all surface types. It's also faster to recharge and has longer battery life.

The eufy is also a better choice than the ILIFE A4s. However, it's not as efficient as a premium robot like the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. The iRobot has a better build and a bigger dust bin, and is able to pay for fewer monthly expenses. It also has more advanced automation feature, such as boundary stripes and a navigation algorithm that is more sophisticated. The iRobot is also more efficient at sucking up pet hair, and easier to maintain than eufy.
