Lamborghini Enters the World of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs)

After a string of social media posts hinting at it, Italian supercar maker lamborghini key replacement finally announced its NFT (non fungible token) Project. The physical component of the Space Key

The project was created in collaboration with an unidentified artist the NFT is a collector's piece that will be auctioned off within a few weeks time. It is a piece of advanced carbon fiber composite material that was sent to the International Space Station (ISS) in 2019 as part an ongoing research project. The carbon fiber has been 3D printed to form the base of each Space Key, which is connected to an exclusive, digital artwork using the QR code printed on its backside. Just five Space Keys have been produced.

NFTs are unique identification numbers that can be recorded on distributed ledgers such the Blockchain and tied to a digital asset like images. They're a hot topic for those who have more money than sense and it was only a matter of time before an automaker decided to cash in on the trend.

Space Key is made up of five parts. It was developed using a carbon fiber composite that was delivered to the ISS back in 2019. Each NFT will have an QR code that connects it to a special digital artwork created by the same artist. The digital artwork

After weeks of social-media posts hints, luxury automobile maker Lamborghini finally revealed its first project involving tokens that are non-fungible (NFT). The Space petron key to lamborghini is a collection of five physical items which unlocks an exclusive digital artwork by a yet to be identified artist. The 'collectors piece' was created in collaboration with NFTPRO(tm) and is limited to just five units. It will be auctioned shortly.

The heart of every Space Key is a block of advanced carbon fire composite material that was sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research program. After returning to Earth, the block was engraved with a QR code that links to the digital element of the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys features a different moment that occurs at different times when the Lamborghini Ultimae takes off towards the stars. More than 600 million pixels up each of the five images which were shot by photographer Fabian Oefner.

Oefner used a balloon with a camera, which took each of the individual images, which were then combined into the final image. The result is an amazing out of the world photo that captures the beauty of the Earth as well as the futuristic, hyper-realistic look of the car rising away from it. The Space lambo keys are going to be auctioned soon, but there's no precise date or location as of yet.

The auction

With the slogan 'to the moon', luxury automobile manufacturer Lamborghini has entered the realm of non-fungible tokens (NFT) with a fascinating project that was developed in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm). The auctions, which will be held between February 1 and February 4, will last for 75 hours and 50 minutes - the same amount of time it took Apollo 11 to leave Earth and enter lunar orbit. By enrolling online, you'll be able to bid on five NFTs. Each one will be sold in a separate auction and the winner will receive a digital image designed by renowned photographer Fabian Oefner, which captures the five different moments the Space Key passed during its flight through space.
